Villu - LOL

So, it looks like Villu is the next product from Vijay's never ending staple of crappy movies. (No, I haven't watched the movie and I have no plans either). Looks like even Vijay fans can't withstand the torture that this movie has to offer. Neutral reviews say that this movie is not half as good as Pokkiri and I couldn't even sit through that one. I shudder to think how bad this movie could be.

Anyway, the reason for this post is about what I read in the Tamil Film Forum here. Couple of hubbers there had this to say about Villu's alleged storyline (that of a son taking revenge for his father's murder. Wow, now thats new)

Hubber 1:

Story: Villu's story starts and ends in the climax

Hubber 2: (he starts writing notes on individual items like comedy - padu mokkai, Vijay - dances well, Nayanthara - looks ugly, Songs - OK, Prakashraj - wasted and then this is what he has to say about the story)

Story: Not Applicable

I haven't laughed so much in a very long time. Simply hilarious. They say that one should share their happiness with others and so here I am promptly doing the same. Laugh along...

Ridiculing the movie without even watching it.

Dont you think your credibility goes down with such posts.Atleast you could have pretended you watched it and didnt like it.

Anycase it doesnt matter,isnt it.

When the guy assures you of maximum returns on his movies,I dont think I have anything to complain, moreso as family also invests on his movies :-)

I know you hate him to the core Filbert, but the fact is,the day thalaivar quits, this guy will be the Numero Uno

No Jey, this post was mainly intended to share those 2 hilarious comments and not on the movie itself. I have resisted writing anything about Vijay & his movies in my blog, as I don't watch them either. But this was just too good to let it pass. Plus, I would definitely ridicule any movie that has a storyline of a son avenging his father's death, no matter whose movie it is.

I understand that after Thalaivar, he is the one who ensures maximum returns on his movies. But from the looks of it, this might be his 4th flop in 5 movies. Not that this is going to change his saleability, but will atleast make him think hard about doing half-decent movies going forward.

I shudder to think of this possibility. God save Thamizh Cinema :(

Orkut reviews are even more hilarious.

One guy was lamenting as follows,

"Iyyayo, naan paartha theatre-la climax trim pannittaangale, naan enna pannuven? Yenga idhukkaga theatre mela case poda mudiyuma? Appadi potta climax mattum thaniya kaattuvaangala?"

ROTFL

Thats exactly what I was trying to explain.Last 5 movies were Aadhi \ Pokkiri \ ATM \ Kuruvi and now Villu.I dont know about Aadhi as we couldnt get it in our regular area, but heard from the person who took it,that it gave him marginal profits.
Rest 3 gave us amazing returns and I am being told our investment in Villu is turning out good as well :-)
I think there are people, and I guess they are the majority, who still enjoy these movies.Afterall, you or me are not going to watch anymovie more than once, provided its not our Thalaivar movie.
But this guy enjoys that privilege. No,I am not one amongst them :-).But I do enjoy these masala fares.
What puzzles me is,how he's got that reach - that remains a mystery and from the looks of it,it doesnt seem to wane and this guy is here to stay.
As for Orkut\blogger's etc,I dont think they form even 0.1% of the Tamil movie going public. That sums it,me thinks

I know Senthil, just can't think of the day that is going to happen. I usually wish Thalaivar hang up his boots after few more movies and then go on for his greater calling, whatever that is :) But when I think of stuff like this that will happen after Thalaivar calls it a day, I really wish Thalaivar just goes on and on.

That Orkut comment was ROTFL stuff, BTW :)

Jey,

I am not disputing his BO power or the BO success of his mediocre movies. But these 4 movies did not do all that well, when compared to some of his earlier hits like Thiruppaachi & Pokkiri.

I do have come to accept the bitter truth that he is here to stay :( I am not expecting him to do off-beat movies but what I expect from him is some quality masala movies, like his own Ghilli or even Thirumalai. Until then, my opinion of this guy is not going to change.

agreed Villu is a crap..but u seems to be more happy with bashing vijay than criticizing his movies.(typical rajni fans psychology)Not only u many are there and its becoming a fashion statement to say i hate vijay and to show off he has a good taste.(As if they wud see only Life is beautiful,Bicycle thieves kinda flicks..)but these are the people who wud see FDFS vijay movie and wud be very happy if movie turned
to be an utter crap.

First plz understand who delivers class flicks in the current genre..?

Ajith hahahahaha the most over hyped on earth..not even knows to render a couple of dialogs...,dance,fights..and makes scary the audience by his danger get ups..(latest eg.Aegan)

Even surya needs Vel And Aaaru to prove his stamp in B and C...

Even Vikram needs Arul,Bheema..

Agreed vijay has to come out of these nonsense masala....i hope Villu has enuf lessons for vijayto come out of it..

the thing is plz dont be biased @ any day and show the hatred towards any actor...jus criticize his acting not his attitude..

More interestingly u being a rajni fan and saying..

Vijay's never ending staple of crappy movies.

Muthu

Padayappa

Baasha(Esp.Post Interval.God Only Knows how this movie became a blockbuster..)

Kuselan

Baba

Sivaji.(The Worst Of Shankar)

Arunachalam

Ithellam Enna Classics?

Or jus because it clicked they are worth enuf?

even if a kamal fan wud said this i can tolerate a little bit..(even kamal's starting career flicks are craps.)but being a rajni fan and saying one more crappy...is indeed a comedy

Out of 150+ flicks even more than 10+ classics kidayathu...u people are talking about craps on other actors...
